Bulls and Lakers have discussed a deal involving Jabari Parker and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

The Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers have discussed a deal that would send Jabari Parker to LA and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to Chicago, as reported by Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com

From Windhorst on the Hoop Collective Podcast:

“Caldwell-Pope is available and has been floated out there for some spots. One place that they have talked to, now I’m not saying this deal is going to get done, but one place they have talked to is Chicago for Jabari Parker. And the thing about this is Caldwell-Pope has to approve of a trade … I’m not sure that’s going to get done but that’s been discussed. The Bulls really like Caldwell-Pope … Jabari Parker could be a Laker within the next few days. Jabari is a polarizing player but he might be interesting on the Lakers.”

Caldwell Pope has been connected to the Bulls before, a possible landing spot for 25 year-old last summer before signing a 1 year, $12 million deal to return to the Lakers.

We know the Bulls have been shopping Parker and Robin Lopez ahead of Thursday’s deadline. Zach Lowe of ESPN said that the Bulls have made everyone available besides Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. Bobby Portis is another player the Bulls should really gauge the market for if they do not want to commit to him long-term.
