The Chicago Blackhawks announced their 2018 prospect tournament roster on Wednesday. The 25 man roster will include 2018 first round picks Adam Boqvist, and Nicolas Beaudin along with Dylan Sikura, Victor Ejdsell, and Blake Hillman. The tournament will take place at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City, Mich., from Sept. 7-11.
The other participants are the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, and St. Louis Blues. Teams are split into two divisions and will play every team in their division in addition to one crossover game on the final day of the tournament. The first place teams in each division will meet for the championship on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
The Blackhawks are bringing in defenseman Brandon Davidson to training camp on a professional tryout basis. In 51 games last year with the Monreal Canadians, the 27-year-old had four goals and three assists in 51 games. Davidson also set a career high in hits (105) and 89 blocked shots.
Recently, the Blackhawks released their logo for the 2019 NHL Winter Classis at Notre Dame Stadium. This logo is a version of the club’s original logo.
