The NBA released it’s national television schedule for the opening week of the season, Christmas Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. day on Wednesday afternoon.
Christmas Day features LeBron James and the Lakers heading to Oakland for a matchup with the Warriors. The 76ers travel to Boston, the Bucks face off against the Knicks in Madison Square Garden, the Thunder will go to Houston, and the nightcap features the Blazers in Utah. Solid lineup if you ask me.
The Chicago Bulls will open up the season in Philadelphia on TNT. TNT Bulls are back! But are they really? NOTE: The famous TNT 20 game winning streak on TNT for the Bulls applies only to home games. The rest of the schedule is expected to be released shortly so other possible national TV games will have to wait.
As for MLK day, Bulls are familiar with playing on the holiday, Lauri Markkanen and the squad will travel to Cleveland to face-off against the new look Cavilers. Who knows where the Bulls will be by that point, record-wise, but it should be an entertaining game no doubt.
Outside of today’s game releases, the Bulls will play the Orlando Magic in Mexico City on December 13th. Markkanen vs. Mo Bamba is a great reason to tune in.
