In the middle of the madness that was last night’s 6-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, the Chicago Blackhawks also played one of their favorite games this season: goalie roulette.
While everybody was basking in midst of the unlikely story that was Scott Foster, the Blackhawks recalled goalie Jean Francois Berube back from Rockford. According to head coach Joel Quenneville, goalie Anton Forsberg sustained an injury yesterday while “he was performing his pre-game ritual” and will likely be out for the rest of the regular season. Berube was waived by the Blackhawks Tuesday morning.
Collin Delia, per Quenneville, was just dealing with cramps and should be good to go for tonight’s tilt against the Colorado Avalanche. Delia was having himself a rather stellar debut last night before going down early in the third period, giving rise to now #BlackhawksLegend Foster.
While Delia and Berube are up in the majors, Masterton Trophy nominee Jeff Glass (remember him?) and Matt Tompkins, recalled from the Indy Fuel of the ECHL, will be backstopping the Ice Hogs as they pursue a spot in the AHL playoffs.
