Shohei Ohtani is narrowing his teams down as he has just a few weeks to decide where he wants to go. The Japanese star is no longer in the Yankees sights, nor is he in on any east coast time. It has been narrowed down to seven teams according to Ken Rosenthal.
The Cubs are still on the list.
The teams that are also sill in on him include: Angels, Giants, Mariners, Dodgers, Padres and Rangers. All of which are west coast teams. The size of the market and team status all vary, so the possibilities are not just contenders with big money.
David Kaplan reports that Theo and company will make a big pitch to Ohtani in hope of luring him in. More will be updated once more news breaks.
