Winners in their last four of five games, the Chicago Blackhawks are coasting through the month of November. While they still trail the St. Louis Blus by eight points for the division lead, the Blackhawks are playing their best hockey this season.
Monday night’s game, a 7-3 win vs. Anaheim at the United Center, was led by 19 year old Alex DeBrincat’s who netted his first hat trick of his career. Patrick Sharp, Artem Anisimov, Brandon Saad, and Nick Schmaltz were your other goal scorers along with Corey Crawford’s 25 save night to cap off the win.
After a 5-7 October filled with some ugly losses, the Blackhawks are handling their opponents. With the season still young, it is too early to say the Blackhawks will be one of the best teams come playoff time, but right now they are playing some pretty good hockey.
Monday started five games in seven days for the Hawks. Now comes the time where the team has a chance to really prove their 5-1-1 record in their last seven is just the start of what can be a pretty impressive run into the start of December. They may just be hitting their stride at the right time.
