Former Bears QB Jay Cutler has a new job in football, but not as a football player. Culter will be joining Fox sports as a color commentator. Though he is not officially retiring from playing, Cutler will be paired up with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis in the television booth next season.
Cutler (34) was cut by the Chicago Bears on March 9th, coming off an injury-riddled 2016. Rumors piled up as to where he would end up in 2017, even after him and his family moved to Tennessee this past week.
“Words can’t express how grateful I am to everyone who helped me along my journey.” – Jay Cutler in an interview reported by ESPN
Though the relationship between Bears fans and Cutler was very complicated in his Chicago tenure, fans seem to be happy for him in his new endeavors. He has a great knowledge of the NFC seeing as he has played against those teams the past eight years. It will be very interesting to see how he uses his personality on television.
