The Bears added some depth to their defensive line Thursday night, signing Jaye Howard to a one-year deal
Howard, 28, visited Halas Hall on Wednesday and passed his physical. A failed physical is what led the Cheifs to release him back in April (hip). The Bears did offer him but he left Chicago without a deal.
In four seasons with the Chiefs, the Florida product totaled 7.5 sacks, 5.5 coming in 2015. Standing at 6-3, 301 pounds, Howard brings experience and depth to the Bears defensive line.
Howard joins Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, Mitch Unrein, Will Sutton, Jonathan Bullard, CJ Wilson, and John Jenkins on the defensive front.
