The Chicago Bears have re-signed QB Connor Shaw to a one-year deal.
Shaw, 25, was claimed off waivers on July 1st and played well in the preseason before breaking his leg in the third game vs the Chiefs.
Shaw has not had a lot of playing time during his NFL career. The South Carolina product went undrafted in the 2014 NFL draft and was later signed by the Browns. He made his preseason debut that same season and later released and re-signed to the practice squad.
Because of injuries to Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel, Shaw made his first NFL start against the Baltimore Ravens in the 2014-2015 season finale. He threw for 177 yards and 1 INT.
With the plan of drafting a QB and possibly signing a free agent, Shaw could battle it out for the No. 2 spot on the roster.
